A Little Sephora Haul

Whilst in California it would have been rude for me not to visit Sephora as the make up enthusiast I am right? Walking in there as a deprived-sephora-british-girl (Seriously are we getting one yes or no?) was like walking into a candy store, there was just soo much staring me in the face.
Thankfully I had made a list so surprisingly there were no impulse buys...

I headed firstly for the Too Faced section picking up the sweet peach palette - Cutest Ever! I got my first Too Faced palette for my 16th birthday and the quality of eyeshadows is just amazing, as well as the most imaginitive packaging. The Sweet Peach palette has a great range of shadows to take you from day to evening easily and I know this will be a staple in my everyday makeup routine. As well as this I HAD to purchase the matching peach blush as well as two melted lipsticks in the shades 'Sugar' & 'Chihuahua'. In transit on the plane my favourite blush ever broke - it was cheap Morphe one I depotted into a Z palette so after searching the whole store I ended up finding the Too Faced Love Flush Blush in the shade love hangover in a similar pink hue.
Some of my daily essentials I stocked up on were the NARS concealars in the two lighest shades (for contouring) as well as Dior Blackout mascara and a new shade in their lip maximizer gloss - I couldn't function without this so new shades are alwaaaays welcome!

Now when it came to the Anastasia Beverly Hills section I had to be restrained and picked up only the liquid lipsticks I knew I was going to wear (nudes & pinks obvs). Plus a lipgloss to complete my new lip look...so excited to try these!
Lastly two products i had been wanting to try for ages, the Kat Von D Lock it Foundation and the Cover FX custom enhancer drop in Celestial - this is an absolute dream and I will be writing a post soon about my favourite highlighters in which this will definitely feature!

I am so excited to play with my new purchases and I'm already counting down the days til I can make my next Sephora splurge!

Trek America Western BLT February 2017

Last August I felt like something was missing from my life and finally being the position where I had no ties and enough money myself and my best friend booked a spontaneous trip with Trek America to tour the West Coast of the USA. California is always somewhere I had wanted to see having seen most of the East Coast & Southern states a few years ago. I am in no way a traveller, although I am envious of the people who can leave their jobs and go around the world for months at a time so a 7 day 'travelling holiday' seemed a perfect way to fit in what I wanted to see.
We booked the trek departing on the 7th February 2017 with one nights stay at the departing hotel in San Francisco the night before and two nights in LA at the drop off hotel on the way back (So that we could visit Disneyland nearby!)Our itinerary was as follows;

Day 1-2 San Francisco - Yosemite
Day 3-4 Las Vegas
Day 5 Grand Canyon
Day 6 Route 66 - Colorado River
Day 7 Laughlin - LA

---

Trek America offer two types of tours - Camping and Budget Lodging Tours (Hotels & Hostels). You are put with a group of up to 13 likeminded strangers and travel around with them and your tour leader for the duration of your trip! Our tour consisted of two groups of people travelling together an single travellers - A good mix of both men and women!
The tour leader we had Allen is an absolute credit to the company, we had an emergency evacuation when leaving Yosemite national park which ended up our one hour journey turning into four but he took everything in his stride turning all the negative situations into positive ones and ensuring we were all safe whilst having fun. His knowledge of everywhere we went and his eased outlook on life was amazing and I feel like I'd only want to do another tour if it was guaranteed he would be leading it!

Doing this trek is honestly by far the best thing I have ever done in my life. Seeing so many famous sights in a short amount of time, meeting so many different people, and most importantly sharing it all with my best friend! If you are looking for an easy, hassle free way to travel america I would recommend this for anyone.
